José joined Atena in 2026 as CFO, taking responsibility for overseeing the management company and the funds under management, as well as supporting the portfolio companies.

Before joining Atena, José accumulated more than 25 years of experience in the financial area within SMEs across various sectors, with exposure to international markets. Served as CFO of Prado Cartolinas da Lousã, a former Atena portfolio company, where he played a key role in its restructuring, growth, and divestment in 2024.

José holds a Master’s degree in IFRS/IAS & Tax from ISCTE, a specialization in Finance from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a degree in Management from Universidade Lusíada.
