João Joined Atena in 2020 and is a Principal in the Transactions team, responsible for the negotiation, structuring and execution of Atena's investments and divestments.

 

Prior to joining Atena, João worked at Deloitte for 7 years, as a Corporate Finance/Financial Advisory Manager.

During that time, João integrated the Portfolio Lead Advisory Services team, having been present in more than 15 NPLs and REOs transactions, both buy and sell side, on an aggregate outstanding balance of €7.0bn+. Additionally, João worked at the Financial Services group, where he performed mainly valuations and business plans for banks, insurance companies, PE, servicers and companies operating in the chemicals, packaging, agribusiness, automotive retail and ports&shipping sectors.

 

João holds a MSc from London Business School and a BSc from Nova School of Business and Economics.
