Joe Santana started his collaboration with Atena in 2018 as an Operating Partner involved in designing and implementing Value Creation Plans in selected deals with international business development potential. Joe is currently a co-investor and the Chairman of WeMold and a non-exec at Science4you.

 

Joe started his long-standing career at Timex in 1989, and took roles as VP of Manufacturing & Engineering and SVP of Global Sales & Marketing before becoming the CEO from 2000 until 2008. As CEO, he grew sales ~30% to reach $750M and doubled profits.

 

After Timex, he was founder and CEO at Ultra Motor (2009-2011) and at Vector Watch Group, which he sold to Fitbit in 2016.

 

He has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering by the Engineering Institute of Lisbon and an MBA by the University of Arkansas.
